This is an open letter to my ex-husband. I am hoping someone in Anchorage, Alaska that knows him will see this and maybe shame him into doing the right thing. Because he should be ashamed!! His name is Paul P. McConnell, born is Castro Valley, CA, on June 26, 1970, now residing in Eagle River, AK. He has been married to Deanna Hernandez of Livermore, CA and Jennifer Lovett of Clarksville, TN. He was court martialed from the Army in 1998 at Ft. Richardson, AK.
When I was 22 I was married. I had two children and a husband in the Army. He was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. My hometown of Clarksville, TN is it's host city. We met at the mall and there was instant chemistry. We dated for a while and I discovered I was pregnant. Failed birth control can be a real let down sometimes. BUT we loved each other and I knew I could never NOT have the baby growing inside of me. This was when I was 19. Fast forward 3 years... we're married and I'm in love. I realize now he was merely humoring me.
I know this because I have come to know that he is quite possibly the most selfish, self-centered, narcissistic, self aggrandizing, human on Earth. Not only that but he lacks a conscious. I often think that maybe I should have seen all of this before we were married but as it has been pointed out to me time and time again... he wore a mask. No one knew, except maybe his closest friends and they weren't going to tell me just then what he was like.
Later, as our marriage fell apart his friends did come to me and warn me. They told me about all of his affairs. The first names that come to mind are Kim, Kelly, and Jamie. I know there were more but those are the ones I remember. They told me where he was when he TOTALED my car. He was out with Kim T. having sex in the back seat of MY CAR. He thought it was funny that he could get away with that bull shit. His "friends" thought he was a douche bag and they finally told me what I needed to know.
When he left for Alaska with his underage girlfriend(she was 17 years old, he was 27) , Jamie M. from River Falls, Wisconsin, he devastated me. But I finally grew up and grew away from that. I have come to accept that I needed that experience to be the strong person I am today. Unfortunately though I can't comepletely cut ties with him. That's because I gave birth to his son Nolan.
Nolan Cale is the absolute joy of my life. The sun rises and sets on that child. I see much of his father in him. But it's the good qualities his father possessed, not the self centered, egotistical, asshole traits. Nolan is a talented, smart, handsome, sweet, loving, caring, empathetic, friendly boy. He has a lot of friends and cares deeply for me, his sister, his friends, and the rest of his extended family. He's growing up to be strong and tall.
I have been fortunate enough to find a man who loves my children unconditionally. I in turn love his children. Don is the father that Nolan will recognize in his life for one reason and one reason only. He is the one that is there for my son. Paul has not taken an interest in his son, Nolan, since he was 2 years old. He doesn't even know what his child looks like.
Paul currently owes over $90,000 in back child support to me. I can only guesstimate how much he owes Deanna but I wouldn't be shocked if it was over $150,000. He is THE classic dead beat dad. I am writing this blog because recently he stopped paying child support again. I was unable to pay our electricity bill, water bill, and phone bill because of his lack of responsibility. I had to borrow the money to make sure our utilities were taken care of. I am currently working on my degree, working part time, caring for my home, and Don is temporarily medically disabled. The child support Paul was paying from January to July was needed to make ends meet.
So, to make this whole thing make sense..... if you know Paul P. McConnell, DOB 06-26-1970, son of Mary McGriff of Fremont, CA and Patrick McConnell of Gold, OR, you should tell him he should be ashamed of himself. You should tell him that his son needs things like clothing, shoes, and shelter. You should tell him that his ex-wife isn't playing anymore and that HE WILL BE GOING TO JAIL VERY VERY SOON IF HE DOESN'T GET HIS LIFE STRAIGHTENED OUT AND HIS CHILD SUPPORT PAID SOON.
I know there is another Paul McConnell in the Anchorage area. So to make sure we are talking about the correct individual let me tell you more about him. My ex-husband has a NIN tattooed on his inner left ankle, he at one point had a large wolf's paw tattooed in the middle of his back, he also has a wolf howling tattooed on his upper arm. He has a round burn scar on his upper back. He had blonde hair. He has blue eyes, is about 6'1" tall, and a muscular build. He is from Fremont, CA and graduated from Irvington High School in 1988 or 1989. He has a sister named Erin. His mother's maiden name was Klepness, or something like that. He also has/had a step-father named Bob McGriff. He has another son named Paul P. McConnell Jr. born around September 29, 1990. The last address I had for him was on Lucas Ave. in Eagle River, AK. He was at some point working for a company called Universal Services, Inc. based in Anchorage. I was told he was competing in body building contests but it has been several years since I received that information. He was also living with a woman named Kim, whom he left for her sister. He was at some point driving a maroon Saturn sedan.
If this person seems familiar to you then ask him... "Are you Paul P. McConnell THE DEAD BEAT DAD who neglects his sons?" Maybe if enough people ask him he'll start doing the right thing, and that's supporting his sons the way he should have been doing for the past 11 years. If any of you have questions about the facts of this blog please feel free to ask and I will provide documentation. I have been informed by an attorney that it's not slander if it's the truth. Unfortunately this IS the truth.
